Orlando

What a week it’s been! I’m sat in my hotel lobby too tired and a bit too dizzy to venture out for my last few hours before my flight home. The dizziness is a mystery and honestly I feel fine otherwise so not too worried about that, it’s more inconvenient than anything. Now I’m excited to get home and eat something that isn’t loaded full of sugar and drink a cup of tea! A whole week without, perhaps I could’ve been less fussy and drank tea here but it’s not something America is particularly good at, instead I settled for crap coffee, at least it’s consistent.

I spent three nights near Universal Studios, 3 nights at Disney and one final night near Universal, I wish I’d spent the last night at Disney or gone home yesterday but my legs really needed the extra day to recover before a long flight. This last hotel hasn’t been great despite looking nice, time and money would’ve been much better spent at Disney.

Anyway, it’s been nice to be away, get some sun, see some things and most importantly runDisney. I had a great time, it’s been challenging and fun, I ran the 10k on Saturday morning and the 10 miles on Sunday morning. Saturday morning was humid as hell, everything was soaking, Sunday morning was much nicer running weather, the 10 miler was so hard after the 10k but I completed both, legs have not let me sit down or go down stairs without protesting since. And I’ve already been looking at future runDisney challenges, talking about you marathon weekend, so it can’t be that bad?

I have most of this next week off tattooing and go back to the studio Saturday, all being well with a COVID negative test result. I feel like between Vegas and Disney I’ve really pushed my luck, they’re both full of people and sticky things so yeah, fingers crossed. No travels outside of the UK for a while now and it will be nice to get stuck into tattooing for a while. I have conventions and a guest spot to prepare for so that’ll keep me busy. Normal service and tattoo/art related posts to resume from next Tuesday…

Me, Michelle with my runDisney medals for the 10k and 10miler events.
