Newsletter! And coming up in September…

Instead of a weekly blog (that turned out well… haha) I’ve decided to start a monthly newsletter. If you subscribed that’s why you’re receiving this. I will share what’s coming up each month and update my tattoo gallery with work completed the previous month. I am very much still learning about and getting my head around the website so bear with me! Progress not perfection!

Coming up in September I will mostly be tattooing at the studio in Edinburgh. I was supposed to be working at the The Big London Tattoo Convention (3rd/4th) this weekend but have had to pull out due to other life commitments. A little sad not to attend but it’s for the best this year and a huge relief to be able to focus solely on tattooing at the studio this month.

Myself and my partner are attending a wedding in south east England in the middle of the month and I’m excited to spend time on the coast. Hopefully it’s a little warmer than Scotland! I am also getting tattooed, continuing work on an in progress back piece, part looking forward to it being finished and part filled with the dread of the pain that comes with more coverage… wish me luck.

My August was very quiet, I’d started the month with a very full schedule of tattoos and unfortunately had a lot of cancelled appointments. I guess in part because it’s summer and we can all go on holidays again post-covid19. But also because August is Fringe festival time in Edinburgh which means transport and hotel prices can increase dramatically. It’s required me to change my deposit policy moving forward into 2023, mostly to protect myself during busy and quiet times of year and when my tax payments are due.

The good news of a quiet month at the studio was that I managed to fill some of my time finally setting up my online shop. Yay! Only 4 prints for now and others to be added with time, maybe with some originals once I have everything photographed, sized and catalogued for myself.

I’ve also had the time to update the website in general and start working on the tattoo gallery, although this will take a while to update thoroughly as I have quite the back catalogue of photos.

You can still view and follow my Instagram but it’s not as up to date as the website should be over the next few months.
