Coming up in October…
and November and early December…
This months newsletter is a little late, I first wrote this back at the end of September but within a couple of days everything changed and I’ve not had the time or the energy to rewrite until now.
So far October has been a strange month for me, I’ve either been incredibly busy at the studio or taking unexpected time off. The rest of this month is pretty much the same, busy at the studio all of next week, then a small trip away and a shorter week of tattooing and somehow, after that it’s November!?!
In November I have two incredibly busy weeks of tattooing at the studio before I leave for New Zealand on the 18th. I return from New Zealand on the 5th Dec and I’m back to the studio from the 9th. New Zealand is part holiday and part tattooing, I’ll be tattooing at the NZ Tattoo and Art Festival in New Plymouth from the 26th to the 27th Nov, it the 10th anniversary of the festival, my third time attending and after two years of limited travel I’m so excited to visit one of my favourite places on earth again! I’m hoping to squeeze in some tourist activities and a visit to my friends on the South Island, an awful lot to cram into two weeks.
Once I get back from New Zealand, I’m back to being busy at the studio until the festive period.
I’d like to ask anyone that needs to contact me regarding cancelling or rearranging a booked appointment between Nov and the new year, to please mark the email as URGENT so I can filter though the inbox more quickly before and after my trip.
After almost a year of my books being closed I’m ready to start taking new enquiries for tattoos from November and through December for bookings in 2023. More info on this to come, I’ll make a mini newsletter with more info at the start of next month. Anyone with an ongoing tattoo that doesn’t have an appointment yet please contact me sooner rather than later to make sure you get an appointment before I take on new work.
I’ve made some updates to the gallery this last couple of weeks, for some reason the website keeps crashing when I’m updating so progress has been slow and frustrating but you can have a nosy here.
I have two new prints in the process of being made, just waiting on the test prints so I can check I’m happy with quality and colour, they should make it into November’s mini update.
Finally, I’m not sure if I’ve written about it before, and I’m pretty sure everyone coming into the studio lately is sick of hearing about it, but I’m marathon training. I have been slowly building up since June, working with an awesome running coach Lynnette (@edinburgh_running_coach), who’s setting me a plan, checking in with me and generally making me stronger. I’ve never worked with a coach or trainer before so to say I was nervous would be an understatement, but Lynnette has put me at ease and reassured me when I’ve felt a bit weak, lost and useless. The marathon is in January and right now training feels like a part time job! Figuring out training around working and life has been a challenge and I’m so grateful to have Lynnette to keep me right, January still feels like a while away but with how much is coming up in the next few months I’m sure it’ll be here before I know it. So if I’m in tired, slow with newsletters and social media updates, now your know why, wish me luck!
